One Candle, One Flame
"If you light up the darkness then you won't be afraid
If you offer your kindness you'll get back what you gave
It takes one little candle to turn darkness to light
Like the promise of the dawn on a long winter's night."
If you offer your kindness you'll get back what you gave
It takes one little candle to turn darkness to light
Like the promise of the dawn on a long winter's night."
Capturing the holiday spirit, this song has become a standard in schools and churches. The hope it expresses has been inspirational for many events. It was performed in Geneva at the United Nations 60th Anniversary for the Human Rights Council. It preceded Mayor Daley's eulogy for the late Mayor Eugene Sawyer of Chicago; The Atlanta International Choir used this song as the centerpiece for their Martin Luther King Day fundraiser. Ronnie Spector recorded it on her Christmas album and sang it on the David Letterman show.

Music All Around
Hear the bluebird singing her song
Hear the river rolling along The rhythm of the rain when it splashes down The rush of the leaves when they’re blowing around Every little noise in the universe Is the voice and the spirit of the living earth So open your heart and take in the sound There is music all around Hear the baby cry in the night Hear the crow in the morning light The crash of the sea when it’s stormy and dark The laughter of children playing games in the park Every little noise in the universe Is the voice and the spirit of the living earth So open your heart and take in the sound There is music all around |
Listen to the music everywhere
You can hear it when the lightning cracks the air You can feel it in the beat of dancing feet You can hear it in the hustle of the street Take a moment to sing yourself a song Get your family and friends to sing along Let your voices resound There is music all around Music—Music---Music---Music Every little noise in the universe Is the voice and the spirit of the living earth So open your heart and take in the sound There is music all around There is music all around There is music all around |
